Yoga Teacher Training with Project Koa Yoga

For the first time in Hawai'i’s history, BIPOC and LGBTQIA-māhū community members have access to a grant-funded Yoga teacher training through Project Koa Yoga. Pilina Center’s Jo Qina'au is co-lead of the training, along with PKY co-founder Laura Toyofuku-Aki. The training is in its second year, is trauma-informed, registered with the Yoga Alliance, and centers accessibility and Kanaka Maoli culture.

“When PKY invited me to be co-lead on this training, I had to say yes. I’d made the decision to teach only for trade for some years, but this is the program Hawai'i needs! PKY is doing amazing things for the community.”
